"I paint what I see. I'm inspired and react to the world around me. I am drawn to and observe color, shapes, lines, figures and nature. They all represent a different voice in my palette. I am energized by my surroundings. I like the way a paint brush, full of pigment, feels sliding along a surface. I use my tools to make marks that are deliberate, with thought, but uninhibited by constraints or rules. My work is my salvation. I turn to it for comfort, and direction. Making art is my oxygen; I breathe with it."
