"My work concerns memory and metaphor and how through time, we transform and reconcile that which we were before, to understand who we are now. The layered history of each piece uses objects gleaned from nature and the domestic world - creating universal truths and stories of birth, death, and giving rise to hope. The figures and birds are considered messengers to challenge us to reflect on our present, giving authenticity to ourselves in the future."
