HALIMA WASHINGTON-DIXON ~ contemporary painter | small works

"My paintings are achieved in one sitting using the impasto technique, allowing me to preserve the buttery texture of my medium - oil. I also use a palette knife to enhance the texture and create movement. I was trained in all aspects of Fine Art at Occidental College and earned a BA in Visual Arts and Art History (2000). I fine-tuned that education at The Academy of Art University where I earned my MFA in Fine Art (2005)."
